School of Worship

Our vision is to train worshippers to wholeheartedly pursue God in spirit and in truth, and equip them with practical skills to lead others into God’s presence.

Bigger Vision

Our vision is to train worshippers to wholeheartedly pursue God in spirit and in truth, and equip them with practical skills to lead others into God’s presence. A place to learn and release your passion for the Lord through music and songwriting while gaining vision to hear songs of glory arising from every nation to the throne of heaven. We believe that as we spend time exalting the name of Jesus that we will see hearts and nations transformed.

Psalm 96:1-3 “Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise His Name; proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all people.”

John 4:23-24 “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

What is the SOW?

School of worship is a second level school that includes a 12 week lecture phase and an optional outreach. Our desire is to see students graduate with confidence in leading worship, expanded musical ability, experience in both individual and collaborative songwriting, and with a vision to hear songs of glory arising from every nation to the throne of heaven. We believe that as we spend time exalting the name of Jesus that we will see hearts and nations transformed.

Heart: First and foremost, we need to be a people filled with awe, wonder and reverence, who walk in intimacy with God. As we pursue that wholehearted devotion and adoration, and as we behold the glory of the Lord we will be transformed more and more into his image and be filled with zeal for God’s presence. That kind of heart transformation develops our character, and makes us trustworthy hosts for the Body of Christ.

Head: Having a biblical foundation for why we worship and who we worship is what sustains worship in our hearts and communities. During the lecture phase, there are a variety of topics that help us discover what the Bible teaches about worship. We dive into the psalms, the history of worship from the Old Testament to present day and learn about the differences between worship, thanksgiving and praise so that we can grow to worship in spirit and in truth.

Hands: Practical skills are a necessary and wonderful aspect of worship ministry. Through coaching and lecture topics such as songwriting and musicianship, band dynamics, audio engineering, and instrument practice, we aim to give you training and experience that will help you pursue excellence in your ministry and develop a passion for stewarding the gifts God has given you.
